Flat roof – reinforced concrete vs. wood

We are in the planning stages of a bungalow with a flat roof. Right now, there are vendors who want to build a flat roof with wood and others who want to build with reinforced concrete. In our opinion, reinforced concrete would be safer because wood naturally works and expands (airtightness, etc.), but reinforced concrete is also quite expensive.
