How do I start laying tiles in a narrow room?
Revision 1
I've never laid tile before, but I wanted to try doing it in a very small room. The toilet is very narrow (80 cm wide and about 2,2 m long). There is marble in the hallway and it is directly adjacent to the old tile in the toilet. I would like to lay 60x30 tiles, although most of it would have to be cut anyway. The easiest way is from the back to the front, but then I don't know if it will end up being exactly the same height as the marble tiles.
Should I start with the marble and run just the side strip to the back and then from the back to the front, or what is the best way to do it?
I thought I might try one of these alignment systems, even if I have to work faster. What are your thoughts on that?
I was thinking of something similar as a stacking scheme:
