Do the interior window sills need to be additionally sealed?

Our interior window sills were recently installed in our new flat.

Sealing from the sill to the window with silicone/acrylic was not done.

Is this the right thing to do? Or does it need to be sealed yourself? Should we use white silicone or acrylic? Will it affect the airtightness and blower door test?
