What roof covering to choose for the patio: glass, polycarbonate?

We have now decided against a simple awning and want something stationary on the property from the bay window to the other side of the house, 7 m wide and 3,5m deep. The terrace to be made in 2 weeks will be the same size as part of the exterior installation.
We have not yet decided whether to go with a glass roof with a canopy under glass or a better quality PC roof and then possibly without a canopy under glass.
Disadvantage of the latter: less light, possibly noisy when it rains because of the hollow chamber system.
Advantage: Huge savings compared to glass.
We also ask ourselves: if we look out from the dining room (central floor-to-ceiling window above, see photo), will we have an ugly yellow-green roof in front of us if we use PCs? Does anyone have any experience?
Second photo – we would like it to look like a roof, with a side window on the right, because there will be a larch screen on the side underneath.
