I'm just wondering how to actually implement a certain roof overhang on a gable if you choose a solid roof. So we let the solid roof elements lie flush with the rising walls and end with them. On the eave side, I can still imagine it: The rafters lie directly on the solid roof and are bolted to it. Then mineral insulation can be laid between them, with the underlay membrane, battens and roofing on top. If you make the rafters a little longer, you get the desired roof overhang on the eaves side. But what about the gable? You can't just let the purlins protrude half a meter to hang an air rafter below. But with a solid roof, you probably won't be able to integrate purlins for the foot and ridge. Wherever vendors of solid roofing systems show pictures online, you won't see any details. Is it possible to attach a short false purlin on the outside to put an air rafter on top?

Does anyone have any ideas?
