What is an alternative to mortar for laying tile in the kitchen?

I plan to glue tiles on the kitchen apron, with a drywall base. I do not want to use mortar, because it is messy, with liquid nails it will be cleaner, and the volume is not so large.

Can you tell me what liquid nails can glue tiles to the concrete?
