This is the answer to the question How do I install a profile to extend the sill?
Revision 1
Generally, in cases where the main sill is not large enough, it is a matter of placing the profile just below the sill by screwing or gluing it in place.
The installation of the sill extension profile is done in two ways:
Installing a standard sill extension profile
The length of the PVC sill extension profile is adjusted with a meter according to the size of the window. To ensure the best water drainage, the sill with polyurethane mastic is aligned, placed on the substrate and installed. Polyurethane mastic, which acts as an adhesive in the process, is applied and glued to both the bottom and top of the extension profile. Then the excess mastic is removed.
Installing the extension profile for the sill with aluminum backing
Before the process of exterior cladding, the profile cut to the required dimensions is aligned so that it is zero under the marble. It is then secured with dowels and screws. Immediately thereafter, the gluing and overlapping of the exterior façade panel to the bottom of the window sill begins. All remaining gaps are filled with mastic, as in all other assemblies. Another point to pay attention to is to ensure that the profile, laid before the process of cladding, is not contaminated with mortar or dirt.
