For increased burglary protection, you have to resort to extruded aluminum with a synthetic resin filler. There is also a snap-on anti-lift device and more stable outer rails. Unfortunately, it costs a lot of money. I'd save myself the hassle of the first floor. Burglars are looking for victims, not sports.
