I would recommend you guys go to a prefab home show. You can get good deals there. First of all, you'll get an idea of how big a 120, 150 or 170 square foot house really is and how big you need the hallway, kitchen, bathroom, etc. A lot of things look very different on paper. In particular (at least for me) it is difficult or impossible to appreciate what windows look like, especially how they look and what bothers us: they are more important to us from the inside than the outside. You should have seen it all in person at least once.
