Kompriband, which is applied around the window before installation and expands after installation and can take on several functions (sealing, insulation), cannot be applied afterwards without removal. Fortunately, there are several ways to accomplish this goal. Sealing tape applied to the window frame can also help separate the indoor/outdoor climate from the outside. That's what it exists for. And yes, it should certainly be done in the opening area in such a way that it is hidden by the plaster.
However, the execution may vary somewhat depending on the type of construction. I only know the one required for frame or all-wood construction.
