The staircase is poured and we want to cover it with natural stone. The staircase goes around a corner once.
Now we need to decide whether to install the treads and risers "flush" or let the treads protrude a bit.
Straight treads will have 25 cm when folded and 27 cm when overhanging. In the curve, logically, less on the inside.
My wife is a little afraid of heights, and possible first floor visitors are quite elderly.
How much, in your experience, does that 2 cm make up for feeling like you can use the stairs safely?
