 For us, the most important argument was ease of maintenance, and unfortunately, plastic is second to none here. The outside is imitation wood, I don't think anyone else recognized it, everyone keeps asking us why we got wood windows, they are so time consuming to maintain. Inside, we only like the white windows and doors, although we are otherwise quite a fan of wood (parquet everywhere ...), because plastic is just the most practical.

If you pay attention to quality products, they also last as long as aluminum/wood. And even if they don't ... in 40 years the technology will still be so outdated that new windows will be added to the house ... who knows what will become possible then.
