Is it worth replacing folding doors with conventional door leaves?

We are about to renovate our house.

The previous owner installed door frames with folding interior doors on the first floor. They are actually in great condition, but we don't like the folding doors at all! Is it theoretically possible to keep the frame, but replace the folding door with a regular door frame?

In your opinion, what makes sense: replacing the frame at the same time or leaving it in, and if so, is it a huge effort to install a regular door leaf on the existing frame?
