Sliding doors which are not in a paneled enclosure themselves are losing in soundproofing to conventional doors. Closing, by the way, is also noisier than with conventional doors. And good mechanisms are more expensive.
Only for the sake of design, I would not put sliding doors in the bedrooms. And I would weigh twice all the pros and cons if the regular doors when opening interfere / create a danger to passers-by.
