I wanted to repair my garage roof soon (prefab garage, flat roof, 18 years old). So far it has had a clunky bitumen coating on it. There are no cracks, etc. on the roof. Should I reapply the coating properly or should I choose another method?

If painting, what primer and what size bitumen should be used? The choices are enormous.

Bituminous paint is not suitable for this. either bituminous weld foil or foil.

Better to use a classic bitumen welded membrane. Cheap, proven and durable. I'm sure you can borrow tools if you don't want to buy them or already have them.
