What to choose for garage roof waterproofing?

I wanted to repair my garage roof soon (prefab garage, flat roof, 18 years old). So far it has had a clunky bitumen coating on it. There are no cracks, etc. on the roof. Should I reapply the coating properly or should I choose another method?

If painting, what primer and what size bitumen should be used? The choices are enormous.

  • Bituminous paint is not suitable for this. either bituminous weld foil or foil.

Better to use a classic bitumen welded membrane. Cheap, proven and durable. I'm sure you can borrow tools if you don't want to buy them or already have them.
