What is the name of the mechanism by which you can open the front door without a key, just by pushing it inside? How do you install it?
I would like to replace the regular door latch with one with a small lever that can be set to open/close. So that you can still open the front door without a key just by pushing it open. I think you know what I mean. It doesn't have to be anything electrical, just the use of a lever.
Is it always possible. What should you be paying attention to?
I have a front door from Kebotherm and a continuous closing bar.

It should be possible to upgrade. The carpenter should be able to sell or install it for you.
What you are looking for is called a day latch, and every locksmith has something like it in his range. Or you can get it anywhere else these days.
At first glance it looks simple. Most likely you have a standard component behind the panel, just without the lever.
Measure the distances between the screws and compare. Then just buy the right part and replace it. Of course, don't forget to adjust (or replace) the cover so the door latch won't close.
