The garage is too short. How can I expand it?

I plan to buy a longer car, and right now my carport is too short. Strictly speaking, the length of the car is exactly the length of the carport.

The question is how can I extend the carport if necessary. I've already thought about one of those carports for the front door. But they are usually not wide enough. I don't want to move or add any support.

Does anyone else have any ideas or tips?

What type of awning? Wood, metal, masonry, wood roof, double panels, location on the house or freestanding, how long do you want it, etc.

Just leave it as it is and don't worry about it.
