How to make an overhang of a gable roof type "stairs"?

The roof is gable, with a planned gable overhang of 600 mm. I do not want to do it with a crate (25x125), since the planned cement-sand tiles. Seen that some form it with intermediate boards connecting the outermost rafters. It turns out to be something like a staircase, but I have not found how to make these connections, on the corners or nailing? Maybe someone will give the links to this construction node.

Like this – with the support on the wall. BRAAS roof tiles. Fastening to 2 corners on each side (only one is shown), because of the thick rafter.

Can you do it without the wall support? I have a gable covered with wood in this place.

The whole point of the ladder is to lean against the wall.

The outermost rafters make below the plane of the other rafters, they will support the lintels of the ladder.
