What do you do about midges and mosquitoes that stick to fresh paint?

Who, how solves the problem, sticking gnats and mosquitoes on fresh paint? Painting/coating at other times when there are no gnats is not an option, as the temperature is low at that time.

They come off quite easily when the paint dries

  • Apparently it depends on the type of coating. Last time there was a coating compound, and the midge left noticeable defects after drying and wiping off. And now I'm going to coat with oil and I don't want to have the same problem.
