I would like to install exterior roller shutters. These would be overhead blinds that are installed over the window on the outside. I would like to have manually operated blinds. The company employee who did the measurements told me that this is not possible because there is not enough space above the window.

On the first floor, the windows almost reach the ceiling. There is only 7 cm space above the ceiling. Isn't there enough space to install manual Venetian blinds?

Unfortunately, the man couldn't explain to me why this is the case, and I got the impression that he prefers to sell the more expensive electrically operated stuff.

Can anyone here tell me what height above the window is required to install manually operated roller shutters?

Our manually operated built-in shutters are exactly 20cm above the windows.

You have too little space, you really need at least 20 cm. Go ahead with the electrical ones.
