I am in the process of installing click vinyl, and am now faced with a situation where I don't know the right solution. I have a fairly narrow 1m wide L shaped hallway. The vinyl floorboard is 1.58m long. The vinyl needs to be laid across as it is coming from the next room. Can I just shorten the boards to 1m and lay them along the hallway, or do I still have to create an offset?

Definitely with an offset, anything else would be visually low quality.
