I have a question about French balconies. They were just installed in our new building. I assumed they would be attached to the facade, but now they are bolted to the window frames. Is this the right thing to do?

I'd say it's not professional, but I can't prove it with a standard or anything like that, purely intuitive.

It depends on the circumstances.

There are models that are mounted in soffits, but there are also some that are screwed into the frame.
