What color is suitable for a garage door, other than anthracite?

We are currently completing our garage, and that includes the garage door.

Our house has a classic design with anthracite windows and front door. The front of the house and garage are white. Up until now, we thought the door would be the same, but what about a different color? My wife would like to have something wood in the front of the house in the future, so we decided to change the door to a Golden Oak color.

Does anyone have reference pictures of a different or anthracite color gate in their house and could show them here? Looking for inspiration.

I chose basalt gray (RAL 7012) for my windows because I don't like a dark color like anthracite. The front door will also be wine red (RAL 3005). Two sides of the facade will be light gray – the other two will fluctuate between dark gray and white. Later, the garage door will be wine red.

Our gate is made of RAL 9007 gray aluminum. It looks really great. However, we don't have the window/facade combination in white/anthracite. Therefore, it's difficult. I feel like a wood trimmed door would look weird with the rest of the white/gray color.

I think it works. The wood tone is about right.

The only color combination I can bring in is our (so far) entrance area.

At the moment I see gray (anthracite) and white often with accent colors like bordeaux red or similar.

You run into wood from time to time too, but what about weather resistance?

Every third or fifth house that looks like this is white + gray, and has wood cladding somewhere. Don't be distracted by the traffic and you'll see enough examples of what it might look like ;)

Don't do this to yourself, it looks like a trivial mistake in this context. Choose yellow with polka dots – or plain green – at least it will look intentional.

I can also imagine a dark green, which would certainly go well with your wife's plans to make something out of wood.

Dark green or eggplant would work.
