We would like to install wood/aluminum windows for our new building and have solicited several bids and looked at the windows. In the process, we noticed that some vendors do dry glazing and others do wet glazing.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods? Which is better?

We probably have to talk about different profiles, so we're comparing apples and oranges: I can only imagine dry glazing. Wet probably means silicone today, whereas putty was used in the past.
