What material should I choose for a south-facing front door?

The entrance to our house is on the south side. What material can you recommend? Is there a problem if the color is relatively dark (maybe steel blue)?

I have read that aluminum front doors can warp when exposed to heat/sunlight and not close well.

An alternative might be plastic. Who can help me with this?

Fifty years ago, aluminum doors and windows had solid profiles; today almost only plastic doors and windows with a dark gray foil exterior have this warping problem (but less so as front doors if they are under awnings).

Plastic is also suitable. To reduce the risks, choose white. Our door on the south side, which is a patio door, hardly warps at all. However, I find that aluminum still works less than all materials. Steel blue is also not very dark, not like dark blue.
