How much will it cost to remove slate from the facade of the building?
I want to remove the slate cladding from the facade of the villa and make it on white mortar, with black slate skirting.
Can it be reused? How much could such work cost? What would you advise me to do?

The best way, which we have used many times and it works very well, is not to remove, but to cover the slate with moisture-proof and adhesive mesh. A layer of single-layer mortar is applied on top of it. The latter can come in a variety of colors, with or without trim, with or without trim, with a scraped or smooth surface, with a fine or coarse texture. The choice is yours.
If there are no extraordinary difficulties, or if no special aids are required (lifting platforms, cranes, etc.), the price will be from $50/m2.
Without seeing the facade to determine possible difficulties (scaffolding, access, leveling, unevenness, sidewalk, etc.), it is difficult to say the price of execution, as everything is interconnected.
However, it is important that the execution is correct to avoid that after a while some or all of the patch or cladding will begin to peel off.
This requires removing all layers of paint on the exterior coating and even the coating itself if it is not firmly bonded to the base of the wall. From this point on, there are many possible solutions for new exterior cladding.
