We decided to cover the house with metal siding. Tired of painting.

House of beams 150 by 150. We do not want to insulate, since the insulation will have to remake the basement. Can you advise whether to mount a membrane or wind-moisture protection between the timber and siding? Or just attach the siding to the beam?

Just put the siding on the beam.

On the timber crate and on the metal siding, the use of membranes is not necessary here.

Although in practice there have been cases where the house first closed the membrane and then the crate with the siding, the worse it will not be, but the benefit is questionable.
